Going through the motions or getting stuck in the same old pattern of spending and money mismanagement happens to the best of us.  It can be so easy to go on auto-pilot and lose discipline when it comes to finances.

Did you set financial goals to work towards clearing some debt, saving, or giving at the beginning of the year?  I hope that you’ve made progress but if you haven’t then that’s okay!  Finish strong for the second half of the year.

Use this Independence Day to declare your debt independence! Click To Tweet

Dependence on debt as a normal part of life can be reversed.  You have to decide that you’re going to be debt free and have a plan to stay debt free.

I’ve come up with a nifty little patriotic system for the occasion to help you with determining where you are and where you need to go once declaring your debt independence.

DebtIndependence

Yes, I’ve oversimplified the process but I’m hoping to speak to the folks that need help with understanding their situation so that they can start to win with money and change their legacy.

If you’re in the red then get a plan together and start working on that debt.  If you’re making some progress (white) then that’s awesome so keep it up and make sure that you’re snowballing your debts to gain momentum.  If you’re in the blue and debt free then maximize on your hard work by saving, investing, and giving!

My Eternal Finances book goes into detail on the process that we’ve used and are still using to live debt free and with prosperity.  It’s a short read, maybe 45 minutes to an hour, but will give you the foundation for financial independence.

Declare your debt independence and stand up to what is holding you back.  I believe in you and know that you can do it.

Many people have broken the chains of debt so I know that there’s hope for you.  Don’t let another day go by without taking action.
